How to Save Bread

Do you find yourself throwing out bread because it starts to go stale?

When your bread begins to age, simply cut it into slices and freeze in a plastic bag; it will stay indefinitely. When you want bread, just take a piece from the freezer and heat it in a toaster oven. It will taste as fresh as the day you bought it.

I'll discuss the important differences between fresh and packaged breads in an upcoming post.

Hi Rob,
My mom has also saved French loaves by running crust under water, wrapping in foil and baking in about a 350 oven for 10 or so minutes, rehydrates them beautifully. Then you can open the foil for a minute and get that crust back to crunchy.
Happy New Year!
